Fashion MaGyver
Jessica's obsession with style began as a child. She remembers getting a hand me down leotard and matching tube skirt from a dance class. She paired it with leg warmers and put her hair up in a high scrunchy and was ready to take on the world. She would deconstruct old clothes that didn't fit and make new creations. Her friend dubbed her the "Fashion MaGyver". Her first retail job was at Contempo Casuals at 14. She traveled with music festivals after high school selling boutique clothing. Jessica studied in France and was captivated by French Fashion. "From Parachute Pants to Paris" would be her fashion memoir. She eventually co-owned a boutique that featured ready to wear, vintage and handmade jewelry and fashion. She has been wardrobe and set styling for the past 10 years for commercials and print, also working as an Art Director, Costumer and Costume Designer for several Indy Films.
When not Styling, Jessica enjoys spending time with her son, who is attending The University of Michigan, her nephews and dog Mia who have all inspired her to create a children's book series about rescue animals who learn to accept and embrace their imperfections(What we all aim for). In her spare time she plays percussion, keyboards and sings in Detroit based band, The Mythics.
